Decimal, fractional and American odds

The same odds in three formats: decimal 2.25 = fractional 5/4 = American +125.

The decimal format gives the total return directly (stake × odds = return). The fractional format shows profit — ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked. American +125 means ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet.
Example 2 — Team B is favourite (bet ৳500)
Team B win odds: decimal 1.80 = fractional 4/5 = American -125.
A ৳500 bet returns ৳900 (৳400 profit).
American minus odds (−125) show how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit — here it is ৳125. A favourite's odds are generally below 2.00 in decimal format.
Teams are always labelled as team A / team B — these are examples only and not the odds of any real match.
